On June 23\u201324, 2025, the AURORA consortium gathered for its 5th project meeting, bringing together partners from across Europe to review progress and plan next steps in accelerating carbon capture deployment.<\/h3>\n

This two-day event took place in Norway<\/strong>, with the first day hosted at the renowned Technology Centre Mongstad (TCM)<\/strong> \u2014 one of the world\u2019s leading CO\u2082 capture test facilities \u2014 and the second day in Bergen<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

\ud83d\udca1 Day 2: Bergen Meeting and Thematic Workshop<\/span><\/h3>\n

<\/span>The second day of the meeting focused on continued progress discussions, followed by a dedicated workshop on heat integration \u2014 a key topic for improving energy efficiency in CO\u2082 capture. The team also worked on preparations for AURORA\u2019s next Stakeholder Forum.<\/p>\n

\ud83c\udfed Day 1: Visiting TCM and Reviewing Project Progress<\/h3>\n

Participants had the opportunity to tour the TCM site, gaining valuable insight into the real-world operation of carbon capture technologies. This visit provided context for discussions on AURORA\u2019s work to qualify and optimize the CESAR1 solvent for industrial-scale use.<\/span><\/p>\n

The day continued with detailed updates on all areas of the project. <\/span>Discussions focused on the following points:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

  • Overview on TCM’s results.<\/span><\/li>\n
